I have to say this is "old news". Right after WWDC this info came out.

the only single card in a quad that allows dual displays is the quadro fx 4500--an $1800 card. you'd be better off with your 6600+another 6600 or 7800, unless you're doing really video card-intensive tasks or something.

Fivepoint's argument is akin to complaining that the slaves weren't paying their fair share of the taxes, and the plantation owners were paying far too much.
The top earners have almost all of the wealth in this country, they should be paying almost all of the taxes. If they were paying too much, wouldn't the wealth disparity be shrinking?
I wasn't arguing anything... simply pointing out the fallacy of his point. He stated they weren't paying their 'fair share' so I pointed out why he was wrong. That's all. BTW, what is with people like you who think they need to relate everything to slavery, the holocaust, or racism? :o

How hard is it to uncheck these two boxes?
http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/6509/onek.png
And other publications, like The Economist, already come with the equivalent boxes unchecked by default.
In general: you sometimes don't get that option in a very straight forward way - and they still might sell your address (maybe not FT, but others)
So if you opt out: WHY do they still need your full name, address, email, .... etc information. If I tell them I don't want any of their advertisement or from their partners than I don't. I can see that they ask for the zip code or similar information to see in which areas they do good or not - but they should not get my full address, email or phone number.

Where do you see this? Every ebay auction I see for dotmac ends up being at least $75 or more with $5 shipping at least.
Not that great a deal.
Maybe its a time of the year thing. I paid $41 in May of this year.

I'm having problems with resume. In Safari, preview and some other apps, when I quit it dose not resume. It only resumes when I right click the icon on the dock and go to quit from there. It won't work from the safari menu or with cmd Q. Is this a normal bug or can I do something to fix this. Also, Airdrop is not showing up in the Finder sidebar.

I love the growing number of people saying Apple doesn't provide its customers with a choice... uh, guys - there are a million other phones you can buy.

Also, what is so bad about the iOS notification system? I just hit "Close" if I don't care about a notification at that time.
How about getting two notifications. Try telling me what the first one was? That's right, you will have no clue. Try using Android or WebOS for about 10 minutes and you will realize how obtrusive and useless notifications are in iOS.

For feature films and television these days, Final Cut is ABSOLUTELY the industry standard. Oh and in the 8 years I've lived in Hollywood, I never met one person in the industry who uses a Windows PC (maybe a writer or two).

I miss 4.2.1, it was really stable for me :(
I totally agree. My iP4 ran beautifully when I first bought it under 4.2.1. While each "upgrade" since then has brought useable features (Printing, AirPlay), the impact to performance and battery life has not been worth it. And I think the proximity sensor problem has returned as well.
Looked for a means to downgrade, but it seems risky and I'm not sure how my upgraded apps would work...

My realistic daily driver with a unrealistic engine swap.
A4 Avant Ultrasport with a 1.8T 6speed Manual. Then TDI swap.
The TDI would bolt up to everything from the 1.8T A4, but I have no idea how, if at all, the ECU from the TDI would talk to the cluster and the rest of the car. The long 6speed gearing would be like a "sporty" TDI gear. About 2200 RPM at 100KM/h, not horrible, just a tad above my friends TDI Jetta.

And you are just proving how little you understand the market in that area.
You forget that those parts Samsung supplies there is a SHORTAGE of them on the open market. Apple can not afford to loose Samsung because no one else has the production to replace them. It would cost Apple a lot more money to replace them. Samsung on the other had because of the shortage sell for a greater amount to other companies.
Apple may be a first tear buying in that area but they still are a minor player in terms of over all buyers. Samsung is a major player in that market.
And you seem to only believe that there is only one company can provide Apple it's components?
There are loads of them.
And look at what Apple are doing with screens - they are sourcing parts from multiple companies to make the numbers. Which is exactly how Samsung will be taken apart if needs be.
However, that won't happen anytime soon as Samsung are in cast iron contracts to supply. Samsung defaults, and it will be in a world of financial hurt, far more than pesky patent rows. It will be up against a multi billion dollar default that will make BPs payout in the Gulf look like small change.
